Carried the mail on horseback between Rhea and Trail, Oklahoma. He was so punctual that people said you could set your watch by his arrival.
He died in a State Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma. When the family went to claim the body no one seemed to know what happened to it. It was always thought that it was given to the doctors for training.
