| Brother of William Holmes Buried in the Holmes cemetery 5 miles south of Bellefonte, Ark. Robert and his second wife came to Harrison, Arkansas, Boone Country from Tennessee (believed to be Maury County). They had two sons at this time Moses and Samuel. Robert homesteaded on 80 acres in Boone County and bought a lot of land. He donated the ground for the Holmes' cemetery located five miles south of Bellefonte, Arkansas where he, his wife, and several descendents are buried.
