Born October 19, 1932 in an area out of Henryetta, Oklahoma called "Turkey Pen Holler"

First grade of school 1938 - Franklin Elem. and Horace Mann Elem. - Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Moved about 20 miles east of Okmulgee into Muskogee County. 5 miles west of Wainwright, Oklahoma in 1939 and started school in the second grade. Graduated from Wainwright High School 1950.

We went to school in Wainwright, got our mail from Council Hill and groceries from Boynton, Oklahoma.

June 1952 joined U. S. Navy - served in Hawaii 2 years at CincPacFlt Headquarters at Pearl Harbor. While there, Peace in Korea was signed.
1954 served aboard U.S.S. Bremerton, CA130 (Heavy Cruiser) Worked in the Post Office. Toured the far east - Cities visited - Yokosuka, Yokohama, Kobe, Kyoto, Tokyo, Osaka & Sasebo, Japan - Hong Kong, Singapore, China. Keelung & Taipei on the Island of Taiwan - Naha on the Island of Okinawa.
